Disassemble ELM327 OBD2 adapter (carefully remove the label that hides 4 screws, unscrew them). Find a place for the mini-switch (most complex part of the whole operation for some devices that are extremely compact). Unsolder wires from pins 6 and 14 of the OBD2 adapter jack and solder them to the 2 middle pins of the mini-switch ON-ON.

I have just bought a elm327 lead for multiecuscan software, I can't get it to read the service reset, I have read about the resistor being removed for it to work but mine is a v1.4 lead and the diagrams shown for this r14 resistor is nothing like my version of the lead, can anyone point me in the right direction to modify this version of elm327.
